In order for the gear lock activating cable to run smooth, I took a 3mm brass tube and glued it in place. Up on the front, close to the latch, I manufactured an aluminium angle with a bolt (3.2mm hole inside) to hold the tube precisely at the right spot together with 2 M8 nuts. It should not interfere in any way with the gear running machine located just a bit underneath.
